How do I join Mt. Moriah missionary Baptist church?

There are three ways:  (1) Baptism, (2) Christian Experience and (3) Church letter (recommendation) from another congregation with similar doctrines of the Baptist Church.

Who CAN JOIN?

Anyone.  The Bible states that “All that the Father gives me will come to me and the one who come to me I will in no wise cast out.”  (John 6:37)

Why SHOULD I JOIN MT. MORIAH?

It is the oldest African American Church in the Ocala Community.  This indicates stability, continuous progress and an adherence to Biblical principles deep and abiding love for God in Christ Jesus …as well as

Scriptures Verses:

Romans 10:9 “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”                             

Isaiah 53:5     “He was wounded fro our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we healed.

When CAN I JOIN?

At all worship services or at any church setting, program or by special

arrangements (Example “at your home, hospital or convalescent center).

Bible Study             6:00 PM each Wednesday

                       Prayer Meeting       7:00 PM each Wednesday

                       Sunday School       9:30 AM each Sunday

Worship Service    11:00 AM each Sunday

WHEN ARE NEW MEMBERSHIP CLASSES HELD?

Classes are set according to when a person joins and according to an amenable schedule.

ARE YOU REQUIRED TO ATTEND NEW MEMBERS' CLASS?

Our hope is that each new member will desire to learn as much as they can about their new church home.  If there is a reason they cannot attend we will work with them.

The classes are an informative time for those who may be new to our city; new to our church, longtime visitor or to have attended for years.  We talk about how to have a personal relationship with Jesus, Christian baptism, or Church’s vision, structure and answers to any questions you might have.

WHEN CAN I MEET WITH THE PASTOR?

The Pastor is willing to meet with you at a time convenient to you and his schedule.  His office hours are 7:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday or by appointment.
